Is It Me?

We have lift off! I spoke to some very nice and helpful people at Vodaphone and it is sorted. However I do have some complaints; it seems that the reason my mms and email wouldn't work was because I had put my old SIM card in (this is what the sales person told me to do), my old SIM card however won't work with a G3 phone, but it seems that sales people do not even receive such basic technical information! So I fought with my phone to remove the back (stupidly hard to do and resulted in me scratching the back!) and replace the old SIM with the new one. But what they hadn't told me was that the new one would need to be activated - so then nothing worked!!!! Anyway as I said it is all sorted now and there is no stopping me now.

As an aside, I am not on the whole a grammatical fanatic but certain things do annoy me; the main one being when people put words in inverted commas to indicate they are using the word skeptically or self consciously. Either use a word and mean it or don't - it's not "big" or "clever" or "funny". Having said all that, I fear I am guilty of the grievous crime of over using the exclaimation mark!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't do it myself. At least I don't think I do. But if it can help to bring an inflection to something that you couldn't otherwise achieve in type, then why not?

Now you see I don't object to italics or even underlining for emphasis (actually I lied, I hate underlining too) and I do love !!!!!!!!!
By the way how do you do italics on comments? I don't seem to have any font options.
